About me...

I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Laura, and I am a shoemaker and craftswoman with all my heart. All the items in this shop are lovingly handcrafted by me. I live and work with my partner and our three daughters at the foot of the Black Forest in beautiful Sulzburg. Here I have my shoe and leather workshop. With great dedication and love, I create beautiful, timeless, practical companions from exquisite vegetable-tanned organic leather. Balancing motherhood with the work I love so much is my personal challenge every day.
Regional value chains and transparency in manufacturing and materials are very important to me. My organic leather comes from cows that live outdoors in herds all year round and are slaughtered stress-free on the pasture (Uria). Afterwards, the Renz tannery, 40 km away, turns it into beautiful vegetable-tanned leather. In my shoemaking workshop, I use it to make custom-made shoes and create bags, tool belts, and lightweight shoes.
On weekends, you can find me in my workshop during the summer, where I host sandal workshops. People come to spend a day with me in the workshop and make themselves a pair of sandals according to their own wishes.
I particularly enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge with motivated people and inspiring them. On these days, we craft, laugh, exchange ideas, challenge ourselves, and eat together.
I want to create timeless, simple, durable, and repairable companions.
Bags, tool belts, and shoes that become favorite pieces you wouldn't want to miss. Companions that, over the years, through wear, light, and sun, develop a beautiful, lively patina and become more and more beautiful.
Less and valuable, instead of cheap and always more.
